OPZICH: a literary festival

Do you like literature? Of course you do.

After a successful first and second edition, OPZICH is back on Saturday 21 March 2026!

Once again, we take over Heerlen Theatre with a festival that shows: literature is anything but boring or elitist.

About the festival

Well-known writers, spoken word, music, performances, crazy installations, a book market and a literary walk. You'll find it all at this quirky literary festival in the heart of Heerlen.

OPZICH is organised by a collection of literary partners from the Parkstad Limburg region: PLT, PANDA Collectief Foundation, SCHUNCK Library, HuB Kerkrade Library, Dutch Mountain Film Festival and Bookstore van der Velde van Dam.
