Top 5 frequently asked questions

I’ve lost my (e-)tickets – what should I do?

Please feel free to contact us. We’ll look up your booking in our system and can re-email the tickets or print them out for you. There’s always someone from our box office on hand on the day of the performance too. They’ll be happy to help you at the box office.

I’m running late – what should I do?

We like to start our performances on time. If you are late, we cannot guarantee admission or a seat.

Admission is only possible if:

  • The company has no objection
  • The audience is not disturbed
  • There are easily accessible, unoccupied seats

Does the performance not have an interval? If so, there’s a greater chance you won’t be able to get in. In that case, you can follow the performance on a screen in the foyer.

Can I still cancel or exchange my tickets?

You can still cancel or exchange your tickets up to one day before the performance. Submit a cancellation request online via your account or contact us by telephone. The fee is €2.50 per ticket. This service is free for Friends of PLT. You will receive a digital credit.

Is there an age restriction for performances?

For regular performances , the minimum age is 2 years. Not all performances are suitable for all ages. Sometimes a different recommended age or minimum age applies – for example, for children’s performances or performances with explicit content. We state this as clearly as possible for every performance on our website.

Secure tickets

For some performances, we use secure tickets. Secure tickets are personalised tickets that we link to your mobile number. This helps us prevent illegal resale and gives you extra peace of mind about your booking.

How to order
During the ordering process, you’ll first need to confirm your mobile number. You can then order your tickets.

After completing your order
Once you’ve placed your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email. This confirmation, which includes your e-ticket, contains:

  • your seat numbers
  • no barcode yet (this is not the ticket)

Your valid e-ticket
Your valid e-ticket with a barcode will be available via the secure ticket portal 2 hours before the start of the performance. You log in to the secure ticket portal using the mobile number you used to order the tickets.

Please keep the confirmation email safe so that you have the link to the portal to hand.

Ticket draw

Ticket lottery

If there is high demand for a performance, we use a ticket lottery. We then allocate the tickets via a lottery. This ensures everyone has a fair chance. We explain how it works below.

  1. You register within a set period, which is often 72 hours.
It doesn’t matter when you register* within this period; once registration closes, we’ll start the draw.
  2. After the draw
    • Have you been selected in the draw?
You’ll receive an email with a payment link for your tickets.
You’ll then have 48 hours to complete your order.
Can’t do that in time? Then your places will go to someone else
    • Were you not selected?
You’ll be notified in that case too.
Sometimes seats become available later on. In that case, there’ll be another draw. So keep a close eye on your email. After you’ve placed your order.
  3. Once payment has been made, you’ll receive a confirmation email. This will show the seats you’ve been allocated, but won’t include a barcode yet (this isn’t your admission ticket either).
  4. Your e-ticket with a barcode will be available via the Secure Ticket portal 2 hours before the performance starts. Log in using the mobile number you used to order the tickets. Keep the confirmation email safe; it contains the link to the portal.

*Please note: we are using Secure Tickets for this performance. You can only place an order if your mobile number has been verified. Log in to your account and go to My details > Verify account. Follow the steps and check that your mobile number is correct.
