An evening full of Kölsche energy and musical innovation

On Thursday 15 October 2026, the German band Höhner comes to the Limburgzaal of Theater Heerlen with their live tour 11+11. With big hits like Prinzessin, Es ist nicht so, wie du denkst and Au Revoir, the Höhner continue their impressive musical career.

The album 11+11 was released in 2024 and consists of eleven new songs as well as eleven re-recorded classics from the rich band history. In doing so, Höhner show that they are still relevant - and that their music, just like the city of Cologne with which they are so strongly connected, still feels like "e Jeföhl".

This concert is organised in cooperation with Poppodium Nieuwe Nor.

Versatile, energetic and surprising

For decades, Höhner have been praised for their open and versatile sound. Their music transcends the Kölsche dialect and is palpable to a wide audience. The band moves effortlessly between rock, pop, party music, schlager and folk, not shying away from forays into other cultural worlds - from their own rock and roll circus show to performances at festivals like Wacken.

Says singer Patrick Lück: "Now we want to show where Höhner stands today and, above all, what they sound like." This musical freedom makes it possible to surprise fans again and again, without abandoning the band tradition. The result is an album and live show that are varied, coherent and completely authentic.

A bond with history and future

Höhner's unique energy comes from constant renewal. After singer Henning Krautmacher handed over the baton to Patrick Lück in 2021, the current line-up consists of Micki Schläger (keyboards, vocals), Jens Streifling (guitar, saxophone, mandolin), Heiko Braun (drums), Freddi Lubitz-Ragland (bass, vocals) and Edin Čolić (Meister Ede) on lead guitar.

Together, they write the next chapter of a band that began in 1972 as Ne Höhnerhoff and grew into a musical institution. Their best-known song Viva Colonia was even covered by Metallica a few years ago - a sign of their lasting influence and power.
