A new theatre programme inspired by thirty years of being underway

As an artist, you're on the road a lot. It's a life of its own. You don't really have a home and when you arrive there - often in the middle of the night - you experience it as an empty, strange place. The highway is my home they sing in America and Alex Roeka thinks there is something in that. Over the years, you become at home in your car, on the highways, in the theatres, cafes, hotels and at petrol stations.

Artist life is an uprooted life. But if you can stand it, on the whole it is a pleasant way of life. It also has spiritual repercussions: you keep moving and are susceptible to change and adventure. And that is what Alex Roeka's new theatre programme is all about. Inspired by thirty years of being on the road, he is OP DRIFT.
