TV and the internet are all about sensation and 'juice': fake news, arguments, fights, slander. All means are permitted to attract as many viewers and clickers as possible. But when is it no longer fun? How do we deal with all that blown-up news on TV? All children stink is a banging, deliciously anarchic performance about sensationalism, with a good dose of chaos and humour. Interactive theatre that encourages you to think about fake news, truth and guarding your own compass.

The story

In All Kids Stink you step into the world of talk shows. You see a flashy set with multiple TV screens, funky jingles and a motley parade of characters. In this orchestrated chaos, presenters Marco and Liesbeth are terribly bored in their popular talk show. Every day some professor or BN'er sits there, saying all kinds of boring things about reliable research. But the ratings go down and down. Marco and Liesbeth have to come up with something sensational to save their talk show: All children stink! Gradually, they get caught up in their own lies and no longer know what is true and what is not. Will they get out of this?

Guard your own compass

Patrick Duijtshoff (known from De Theatertroep) and Judith van den Berg (from Best Friends of De zAAk A, winner Silver Cricket 2025) made a short version of this performance for the KinderParade in 2022. That was a resounding success from which the young audience's involvement and indignation dripped. The makers: "We want to use humour and confusion to challenge children, and actually adults too, to keep thinking critically and not blindly go along with the masses."
