After months of try-outs, coaching and the finals at De Kleine Komedie in Amsterdam, they are exactly where they want to be: on a tour of the country's best cabaret stages. What you see during this evening of theatre is no longer a fluke. It is work that has matured. Shows with a backbone: sharp, musical and uncompromising. Sometimes light and playful, sometimes raw and confrontational. Always personal, heartwarming and delightfully idiosyncratic. This is the stage where promise turns into signature. A piece of history
The AKF has delivered high-profile winners every year since 1988. Famous names include Maarten van Roozendaal, Van der Laan & Woe, Yentl en de Boer, Stefano Keizers, Glodi Lugungu, Rosa da Silva, Lotte Velvet, n00b, Valentina Tóth, Luuk Ransijn, Ayoub and Wina Ricardo. Creators who once started as promise and grew into leading voices within the cabaret profession.
