On Tuesday 23 February, schrit_tmacher and PLT present a groundbreaking fusion between the world of hip-hop style krump and Shostakovich's Fifth Symphony. Not for nothing has this performance by Swiss Geneva Camerata and French choreographer Kader Attou been named REVOLTA .
A master class with coffee and cake
During an inspiring masterclass, Tijmen Wehlburg (violinist, conductor and concert leader) and Annette Embrechts (dance journalist at de Volkskrant) will take you through this revolutionary meeting between dance and classical music. Experience the challenges faced by both dancers and musicians, who play Shostakovich's masterpiece moving completely by heart, to perform REVOLTA .
You will get a special insight into this unique production, which will make you enjoy the performance even more on 23 February. But even if you are not going to see REVOLTA , this master class is interesting because it highlights a new revolution in the collaboration between classical music and dance.
