Instrumental virtuosity, infectious playing pleasure, beautiful polyphonic singing and beautiful stories
After the album and theatre tour Bluefinger, Bertolf comes to Heerlen Theatre with Bluefinger Volume 2. An evening full of instrumental virtuosity, infectious playing pleasure and beautiful polyphonic singing, larded with beautiful stories, some music history and funny anecdotes.
A "catchy declaration of love to bluegrass"
Bertolf travelled to Nashville in 2022 to make his big dream come true; he recorded the album Bluefinger there with his biggest heroes in bluegrass music. NTR's Het Uur van de Wolf made the documentary Bertolf in Bluegrass about it. This was followed by an extensive theatre tour with the very best musicians from the Dutch bluegrass scene. With them, Bertolf recorded Bluefinger Volume 2. And there is another difference. Unlike the first album, Bluefinger Volume 2 consists of completely freshly penned repertoire. A "catchy declaration of love to bluegrass", the Parool calls the music.
