During an all-consuming argument, in which words inflict wounds like weapons, their fate seems sealed: they must never see each other again. Until the phone rings. Almost a Life is a painfully topical, tragicomic love story about the true cost of our time. About financial and emotional dependence. About patterns, expectations and prejudices that settle between two people. About the image of success we try to uphold even when it starts to pinch.

You can be at the try-out on 30 September and 1 October, and Bijna een leven will premiere at Theater Heerlen on Friday 2 October. After that, the show can be seen at De Bordenhal in Maastricht on 14 and 15 October.
