Musical theatre about the connection between the world above and below ground.
Above ground, there is so much that makes Jint sleep badly or get a tummy ache. Pause, he then thinks, nothing on my mind for a while. He puts his head in the sand and closes his eyes. And immediately open again, because that sound... it's as if Jint is being sucked in.
Jint gets carried away and finds Karbonk, deep underground. Twisted and primal at the same time. Soil friend Karbonk weaves a hammock for Jint and can tell amazing stories without using a single word. Everything makes sense, Jint thinks. Until something hits the ground and Karbonk gets hit. What does Jint do? Will they remain ground friends?
Of (life) importance
Soil Friend is a musical theatre performance about the connection between the world above and below ground. The power of the underworld imaginatively comes to life in Bodemvriend; how it turns out to be of (life) importance to the upper world. And that the two simply cannot exist without each other.
