A tribute to an icon in an interactive experience for the very youngest theatregoers.
Last year, we saw La petita malumaluga at Cultura Nova with Marceline, dedicated to the father of modern clown language. The Spanish company returns with a tribute to an icon who changed the world with his music, design and costumes from the 1970s until his last day: David Bowie.
No need to sit still
David Bowie is one of the 20th century's most non-conformist and revolutionary pop creators. In Bowie for babies, La petita malumaluga transforms his classics into an interactive experience for the very youngest theatregoers. The show takes place in a set in the shape of a 33-rpm vinyl record that covers the entire stage. The children sit together with their companions around the record. Together, they enjoy an interactive journey through Bowie's songs and La petita malumaluga also shows his double vision: day and night, exuberance and intimacy, audience and artist. On this journey, babies and toddlers are allowed to move freely.
Bowie for babies is performed by a singer, a pianist, a percussionist and an artist on electronic equipment such as the Theremin and Meinl Galaxy.
