An "innovative and physical" experience of Vivaldi's masterpiece, Richter's interpretation ánd of dance.
Just as seasons change and return in nature, new interpretations can transform classical works. In Four Seasons Changed, BRYGGEN, Belgium's orchestral sensation, shows and hears how classical works can be reshaped. Not as fixed monuments, but as a living practice.
Playing and moving, the strings, playing the music from memory, add another layer to the rich texture of Max Richter's 2012 Four Seasons Recomposed. A solo dancer reacts to the music: sometimes contradicting it, sometimes enhancing it. This interplay creates a fascinating crossover between classical music and dance. And, according to the Belgian press, an "innovative and physical" experience of Vivaldi's masterpiece, Richter's interpretation and of dance.
BRYGGEN
BRYGGEN is known for their innovative projects, which excite not only musically but also visually. Previously, this Belgian string ensemble brought the cult hit Wheater to life in breathtaking soundscapes. Their concerts are a treat for both ears and eyes. But they also have a message. For instance, this new concert experience shows how classical works can be lived and embodied. After all, why should an orchestra always sit still?
