Can you ADD something to my ADD?
Fractal Collective - Zino SchatTheater Heerlen - Limburgzaal
A dance performance full of confusion, sensitivity, crackling dance and perhaps recognition.
In Can you ADD something to my ADD? by choreographer and Korzo maker Zino Schat, four dancers give shape to Zino's personal experiences with ADD. Experience what it is like to live in a world that does not always move with you and a head that never stands still.
Autobiographical
Can you ADD something to my ADD? is a depiction of different aspects of ADD, inspired by autobiographical experiences. For this, Zino researched the origins of his ADD and over- and under-stimulation in dancers and its effects on their bodies. On stage, he sketches a family situation, zooming in on the inner experience of a neurodiverse person. You see character traits that can all inhabit one brain: from hyperactivity to hyperfocus, from super-curious to downright anxious. A dance performance full of confusion, sensitivity, crispness and perhaps recognition.
A clear mission
With this performance, Zino has a clear mission: "I want to create awareness, show what is bubbling in an ADD head and make my fellow ADDers feel that they are allowed to be there."
