A stylish tribute to an iconic girl group
Child of Destiny - The Dutch Experience is a theatre concert in which Sharon Doorson, Raffaela Paton and Altagracia Norton, together with their band, pay a musical tribute to Destiny's Child. A finalist on The Tribute: Battle of the Bands (SBS6, 2025), they are all about the repertoire and story of one of the most influential girl groups in pop and R&B history.
Destiny's Child' s music has its roots in everyday conversations about love, relationships, independence and financial worries - themes that once resounded in Beyoncé's mother's hair salon and grew into worldwide recognition. From that foundation came songs that have shaped generations and still ring true today. In this theatre concert show, those songs are brought back to life with care and attention, performed in a live setting with band.
World hits and a special Dutch connection
During the show, well-known songs like Survivor, Bills, Bills, Bills, Bug A Boo, Say My Name and Jumpin', Jumpin' will pass by. Less known is that the Netherlands was the first European stage where Destiny's Child really broke through. Sharon Doorson, Raffaela Paton and Altagracia Norton perform this music with vocal class and conviction, in an evening of recognisable R&B and soul classics.
