The distinctive voice of The Zombies
With his warm, recognisable voice, Colin Blunstone is one of the most distinctive British singers of his generation. As frontman of The Zombies, he gave classics such as She’s Not There, Tell Her No and Time of the Season their distinctive sound. During this concert, Blunstone and his solo band will bring together music from his entire career: from beloved Zombies tracks to highlights from his extensive solo repertoire.
From One Year to Old and Wise
Following his early years with The Zombies, Blunstone launched his solo career in 1971 with the album One Year. The single Say You Don’t Mind became a UK hit and was followed by albums such as Ennismore and Journey. He also made a lasting impression beyond his own repertoire, notably as the vocalist on ‘Old and Wise’ by The Alan Parsons Project. In 2019, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside The Zombies. With over sixty years of musical history behind him, Blunstone delivers an evening full of timeless songs, musical craftsmanship and a voice that is still instantly recognisable.
Jesse Lynn Madera
American singer-songwriter and pianist Jesse Lynn Madera opens the evening with narrative songs that blend Americana, country and pop. On her 2024 album Speed of Sound, she collaborates with renowned producers such as Dan Navarro, Jim Scott and Ryan Hadlock. With her warm voice, personal lyrics and atmospheric piano playing, Madera provides a fitting prelude to Colin Blunstone’s concert. She has previously supported acts including The Zombies.
