Grip on life or fight kapothard?

The award-winning show CONTROL is a sickening mix of breakdance, physical comedy, live music, film and weird humour. For anyone who sometimes wonders: wtf am I actually doing with my life?

Panic attacks, empty pockets, fuzzy friends, rotten knees, getting older, compelling algorithms. Are we trying to take back control or letting it slip away from us? The men of 155 (one-five) are now around 30 and face a choice: get a grip on life or stay forever free? They used to be able to race away from rules, expectations and the system on their bikes. Now they are in CONTROL literally on treadmills that move coninuously. With that restless feeling of "I'm not in control of this", they ask the question that everyone must face: who do you want to be and how do you want to live?

The creators

155 (one-five-five) is a breakdance collective brought together by a shared passion for movement forms, music, film, bizarre humour and art. The men create shows out of an infinite fascination for the world we live and move in today. With CONTROLE, 155 won the Golden Cricket 2023 for the most impressive stage performance in youth theatre. Maas theatre and dance is the largest theatre and dance company for children, adolescents and young adults in the Netherlands. From an artist's mentality, they encourage young audiences to stay close to their hearts with theatre and dance.
