In The King of Jokes, Sven De Ridder, Fokke van der Meulen and a surprising guest pay tribute to the joke, to Tony Bell and especially to their friend; the Belgian king of jokes Brik Van Dyck, who died in 2024.
The gospel of the joke
Sven, Brik and Fokke previously performed together in Moppen Aan Den Toog (a tribute to born entertainer Tony Bell) and De Moppentappers (a journey through the history of the joke). After Brik's sudden departure, Sven and Fokke are doing what he saw as his life's mission: spreading the gospel of the joke further. And they do so in The King of Jokes with a fresh mix of the best from previous shows, new jokes, personal stories and a guest joke teller who helps fuel the fire each time.
