This is a band you must have seen. The show hits you right in the heart and on your hips.
The Nobodyers is not just any band. They give a voice to the nobodies, the outcasts; people in difficult positions. Previously, they made an album with inmates. On their latest album, they give refugees a stage. You will hear this rousing mix of singers, vocalists, musical styles and many languages in the show Cafe Habibi!
The band moves through the show like a globe on legs: from Arab floorkillers to opera and always with a good portion of soul, gospel and alternative rock. The cliché 'music is a universal language' was probably never more applicable. One reviewer thus aptly wrote: "If we ever need to explain to aliens what music is and what it is for, we know who to send: The Nobodyers."
An irresistible groove
At festivals like Down The Rabbit Hole and Into The Great Wide Open, in pop halls and even at the royal family's stately King's Day concert, audiences danced to De Niemanders' irresistible groove. The unique singers, vocalists and musicians - some of whom live (or have lived) in asylum seekers' centres - caused metres of goosebumps. In short: this is a band you must have seen. It hits you right in the heart and on the hips.
