Life behind the façade
In De Verbouwing, Isa Hoes plays plastic surgeon Mathilde, who seemingly has everything: a family and a flourishing career. But behind that facade, everything is crumbling. While Mathilde opens her brand new, state-of-the-art private clinic, her own house is in ruins due to a completely derailed renovation. Her husband Rogier is struggling with burnout and their daughter escapes the chaos by retreating to the garden house. Edwin Jonker in a thrilling double role
Edwin Jonker, who also starred in Nieuwe Buren, plays both the role of burn-out-plagued husband Rogier and the charismatic but untrustworthy Johan alongside Isa Hoes. The role of the daughter is played by young talent Jenell Tedjai.
