2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the death of French world star Gilbert Bécaud. In 2027, he would have turned 100. For Frank Cools and Florian De Schepper, those are enough reasons to celebrate his chansons!
Bécaud's songs are so rich, so strong, so timeless. Nathalie, Et maintenant, L'important c'est la rose, C'est en septembre, Je reviens te chercher... Bécaud, 'Monsieur 100,000 Volts', sang them with unbridled energy. His passion for women, cigarettes and whisky was legendary. Frank and Florian opt for the purest form. Frank Cools and Florian De Schepper
The Fleming Frank Cools appeared as an actor and singer in almost every theatre in Flanders and the Netherlands. He sang both chanson and smartlap, made youth performances and, as an actor, often stood solo on stage with classical lyrics. Florian De Schepper is a classical guitarist; a travelling troubadour who can swing in folk and various styles like no other.
