Double Dare pays homage to legendary singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley in the wake of the new documentary It's Never Over. In the intimate setting of our Kleine Zaal in Heerlen, guitarist Gary Lucas (known from the likes of Captain Beefheart, Jeff Buckley, Nick Cave and Lou Reed), together with double bassist and vocalist Peter Willems, will take you into the world of Buckley and his musical legacy.

Familiar songs like Mojo Pin, Grace and She Is Free by Jeff Buckley / Gary Lucas are given a spirited, personal interpretation in this tribute. Subtly, the door is then opened to the idiosyncratic work of Captain Beefheart. Where Beefheart sounds raw and unpredictable, Double Dare takes a layered and probing approach: an exciting dialogue between experimentation and emotion. In addition, Double Dare's own new compositions are also part of the programme. Thus, this tribute will not be a nostalgic tribute, but a living musical encounter between past and present.
