Five-piece noise-rock band Big Yellowtail balances its explosive, unpredictable live shows like a tightrope walker threatening to lose his balance at any moment. The band combines post-punk, noise-rock and experimental rock with influences from jazz, psychedelia and electronica. Noise orchestrated in such a way that it just keeps reinforcing itself, to bursting point. They haul a mountain of instrumentation to each stage, including two drum kits and a collection of pedals that would make even a harsh-noise connoisseur look up. With wry sounds and wry time signatures, they create a live show that feels as oppressive and oppressive as a fish on dry land. In it, Big Yellowtail conjures the audience with manically danceable compositions that are fused together live.
