A world in motion
On stage is a turntable, neatly divided in half by a bookcase. When a book is torn in half, the world around it starts moving. And then things move fast: the entire bookcase is torn down. What seemed so beautifully organised turns into chaos. What do we do with the fragments? What puzzle do we put together? Maybe we should try to make a new world. What is past we forget. A new world? That's not easy. There appear to be many.
Contrasts that go together just fine
Half Tales is a co-production of the Silence and accordion duo TOEAC. De Stilte dances for and with children. This company is all about play, fantasy and imagination. The internationally acclaimed accordion duo TOEAC makes voices sound like horns, strings and singers. With music by Rameau, Zolotarjov and their own work, they create Half Tales, a performance full of contrasts that turn out to go well together.
