Red, green, blue, yellow, grey and pink: all colours swirl right through the body of the colour monster! He feels happy, angry, sad, calm and scared at the same time. What is wrong with him anyway? Fortunately, one day he meets a friendly girl. The two become friends and go on a journey together. Along the way, and with the girl's help, the monster gets to know himself and his emotions better and better...
Magical for every child
The Colour Monster, based on the picture book by Anna Llenas, is a wordless and expressive performance about emotions, friendship and self-discovery. Theatre Dust uses puppets and set pieces to create an explosion of colours that takes you right through imaginative landscapes, seas and mountains. Because Theatre Dust's performances are without spoken text, they are accessible to all children, regardless of language or background. Every child experiences a magical and unforgettable journey with Het Kleurenmonster !
About the makers
Theatre Dust consists of Mirthe van der Meulen and Sarah Strassburger. They get their inspiration from the rich fantasy world, enthusiasm and experience of young children. By hand, they create colourful fabric sets and puppets, full of imagination and detail.
