A load of new songs, a pile of clever conferences and Tom Dicke behind the grand piano

On 2 December 1966, mathematician Bertus Brouwer crosses the street in Blaricum. He is killed by a car. On 29 October 2026, Jan Beuving plays a cabaret show called Dekpunt in Heerlen. Hopefully, he survives. What these two facts have to do with each other ánd what a deck point is, Jan comes to explain. Maths makes sense, miracles don't

"Sticks together like a mathematical miracle," the Volkskrant wrote about his previous programme 2025-1. Nonsense, of course: mathematics is logical, miracles are not. But it did earn him a nomination for the Poelifinario, for the best cabaret programme of the season. "Beuving was never better," wrote NRC. It's now up to Jan to prove them wrong.
