Kapsalon De Musical is a new Dutch-language musical set in an Afro hair salon: a place where stories, music and generations come together. When Quin (21) inherits her late father's hair salon and considers selling it, she discovers that her true legacy is not in stones or money, but in the community that comes together there.
A rhythmic story between mirrors, hairdryers and barber chairs
Between mirrors, hairdryers and barber chairs, a rhythmic story unfolds about grief, identity and the universal desire to be loved. The performance moves between lived-through pain and euphoric joy, between loss and resilience. Musical symphonies are complemented in this brand new musical by a wide mix of musical influences; from Afro-beats, hip-hop, gospel and kaseko to contemporary pop.
