In TRUUK NAO 'T ZUUJE, Lex Uiting takes you back to his roots. After twenty years of living and working outside Limburg - from Amsterdam to far beyond - he returns to the south for good. What started as a musical adventure grew into a deep-rooted love for his native soil, which never disappeared.
From Ziggo Dome to Limburg
Earlier this year, Lex Uiting uttered the words "Kôm, laot ôs nao 't zuuje gaon..." during a rigidly sold-out show at the Ziggo Dome, accompanied by the Metropole Orchestra. That sentence is the starting point of this full-length musical theatre show, in which he and his regular live band tell his story in music and words.
Music, stories and nostalgia
During the performance, well-known songs like 'Nao 't Zuuje', 'Letste Leedje', 'Wachte' and 'Gans Veur Gaon' will be heard as a matter of course. In between songs, Lex searches for an answer to a question that has occupied his mind for years: how is it possible that homesickness for Limburg, despite everything, has never really disappeared? TRUUK NAO 'T ZUUJE is a personal ode to the province - straight from the heart, in music and stories.
