On 26 May 1926, legendary trumpeter Miles Davis was born. Like no other, Miles knew how to renew himself and jazz time and again. Known for his genius inspirations and passionate lifestyle, the music he touched would never be the same after that. He inspired icons such as Quincy Jones, Prince and Chaka Kahn and was behind such groundbreaking albums as Kind of Blue, Ascenseur pour l'echaffaud and Tutu.
Celebrating 100 Years
Internationally acclaimed trumpeter Michael Varekamp was captivated by Miles at an early age and devoted a significant part of his career to it. For instance, he toured Europe playing with Miles' star saxophonist Sonny Fortune. Together with The Legends, he takes you on a blistering journey through Miles' mind and music in this celebration of 100 years of Miles Davis. Classics like So What and Tutu will certainly not be missing on this evening!
