Mozart’s Don Giovanni is one of the most famous operas of all time. The irresistible seducer leaves his mark everywhere – on the people he meets, but also on himself. He craves absolute freedom and refuses to conform to what others expect of him. Until he is caught up by his own actions.
In this opera, Mozart combines humour, suspense, seduction and darkness. At Theater Aachen, director Rahel Thiel explores what freedom means when you are constantly overstepping other people’s boundaries.
