With Broze Aarde, the NBE pays a musical tribute to our fragile planet, based on the poetry collection Broze aarde by South African writer Antjie Krog. In the form of a high mass, mezzo-soprano Christianne Stotijn and the Maastricht chamber choir Studium Chorale sing of mankind's dealings with the earth, but also of what that same earth has brought humanity so far.
Broze Aarde is an exciting artistic adventure for the players of the NBE with brand new music by Fant de Kanter. A spiritual and urgent concert that offers comfort, strength and hope. And in which every NBE player is challenged with tailor-made parts.

As usual, the wind players frame their concert with a supporting act and an after-show in the foyer.
