A new life for familiar songs
Novastar, the musical project of Joost Zweegers, presents a selection of songs from his repertoire in a new performance in The Best Is Yet To Come. For years, fans asked for an overview of his best-known songs, but Joost preferred to look forward rather than back.
That changed when producers Mikey Rowe and Andrew Britton, with whom he works, convinced him to take a new approach to the music - in a way that they think suits how the songs should sound today: fresh, young and timeless.
Intimate and close
The result is the album The Best Is Yet To Come, recorded at Abbey Road Studios, featuring a selection of his best-known songs in an updated version.
During this theatre tour, Joost Zweegers performs these songs in an intimate setting, alone on stage with his piano, guitar and distinctive voice.
