A matinee brimming with songs and stories.
For Don McLean, 3 February 1959 was The day the music died. It was the day the plane containing Buddy Holly crashed with J.P. Richardson and Ritchie Valens. Buddy was 23 at the time and had already written many wonderful songs. Paul van Loo grew up with those songs as the youngest in the family and sang them along phonetically even then. From then on, that music has been timeless to him. Paul: "I still enjoy it. Just singing solo songs and telling stories from those times: no more and no less." And that's what he also does in this matinee concert.
