The Wall is not a concert, but a total experience that touches, surprises and reverberates for a long time to come.

More than 45 years after its release, Pink Floyd's rock opera The Wall is still poignant and topical. Pink Floyd Project brings the iconic album to the theatre in an impressive total experience of music, story and visuals.

The Wall is Roger Waters' iconic, semi-autobiographical concept album about isolation, fame and the wall people consciously or unconsciously build around themselves. Pink Floyd Project stays true to the musical flow of the original album, but places the story in a contemporary context. Themes of social control, technology, identity and a new generation raising its voice make this performance more urgent than ever.

A powerful theatrical translation

With a top 12-piece band, an eye for detail and a deep love for the original work, Pink Floyd Project proves why they are among the absolute top international tribute bands. Directed by Aike Dirkzwager and assisted by music journalist and Pink Floyd biographer Wouter Bessels, the story is given a powerful theatrical translation. You won't see a physical wall between band and audience, but a protagonist who literally becomes trapped in his own world. Impressive 3D animations allow the wall to grow, burst and finally gain meaning: visually, emotionally and musically.

Let’s Talk About... Pink Floyd

Who was the true creative mastermind behind Pink Floyd: Roger Waters or David Gilmour? Or perhaps someone else entirely? Before the performance by Pink Floyd Project, we invite fans of one of the most influential bands in rock history to join an engaging discussion for a small fee of €4. During this short but lively session, supporters of different perspectives will debate vision, composition, lyrics, sound and stage presence. Was Waters the unmistakable conceptual genius, or did Gilmour give Pink Floyd its timeless musical soul?

The audience will also play an active role: sharing opinions, weighing arguments and perhaps even helping decide the verdict is all part of the experience. The perfect prelude to an evening of iconic music, strong opinions and an unforgettable atmosphere. The debate is hosted by Marco Smeets.

Marco Smeets, from Heerlen, is active in the cultural and music sector as a programmer, interviewer, presenter and podcast creator. He works at the intersection of media, music, pop culture and communication and is involved in various cultural and musical projects in the region. In addition, he hosts television and radio programmes, as well as interviews and conversations with creators, artists and eyewitnesses.
