After Reinaert the V. and Bremer Street Musicians comes the adventure of PINOKKIO.
Pinocchio, like any child, starts out as a blank sheet of paper; in her case, a blank block of wood. But she has only just gained legs or she abandons her father Geppetto and walks in seven locks at once.
An imaginative and musical show full of singing, live music and enchanting puppets
Mrs Kats, Mr Fox and Mr Badger become her friends. They have beautiful, infectious stories. But can she trust these friends? She always has to choose: have fun and live a lazy life or be sensible and work hard? Tell a nice story or the ugly truth? Pinocchio learns from her friends the advantages of lying until she realises that she herself is being taken for a ride.
About the makers
The libretto of this successor to Reinaert de V. and the Bremen Street Musicians is by 2-time Golden Cliff winner Simon van der Geest. Oene van Geel (winner of the Boy Edgar prize) composed the music. Cat Smits touches with her puppetry and Josje Eijkenboom plays a starring role as Pinokkio.
