This modern adaptation of Shakespeare's classic sees Rick Paul van Mulligen as King Richard III: the biggest bastard Shakespeare ever wrote. Richard wants total power. A master of manipulation, he subtly winds you around his finger. With lies, intrigue and murder, he eliminates anyone who stands between him and power.

The highest price

Richard feels humiliated and excluded by society. Driven by anger, he forges a plan to take revenge. With fine words and charm, he deceives everyone; from the people to his own family. Richard is willing to pay the highest price, but will he know how to hold on to power when he finally possesses it? Noël Fischer: "I was reading a quote from the 1930s: 'The old world is dying, and the new world struggles to be born: now is the time of monsters.' I see this in Shakespeare's Richard III, but also in the lust for power, control and narcissistic games of autocratic politicians."
