Is Robrecht throwing everything overboard tonight?
Robrecht looks at his sweetheart. There she sits, headphones on, thumb on the screen, probably looking for baby stuff. She wants a child. They are about to embark on that adventure; the last strip is out of the package, the hormones are finding their rhythm, life is ready for the next step. Just, as it should be.
Restlessness and doubt... The future wobbles like a drunkard.
Apart from his receding hairline, everything seems fine for Robrecht. He has a job, a girlfriend, a life that runs smoothly. Yet there is this restlessness: the world rages around him. War, climate, the disconnected fellow man. And then there is that other doubt: love itself. He falls in love so easily, what if he can't sustain it? What if soon, in the middle of the storm, he won't know how to stand? The future wobbles like a drunkard. Will he throw everything overboard tonight?
