One of the new cabaret performers to keep an eye on

On the cabaret spectrum, Selma Visscher is somewhere between Jan Beuving (because of language sensitivity) and Nathalie Baartman (because of elusiveness), according to the NRC. Her debut performance Ik kijk liever, which was also performed on our stage, received rave reviews; with four balls in NRC and on Theaterparadijs.nl. She was tipped as one of the new comedians to keep an eye on. And she was praised for her satiny voice and her clever, pointed jokes.

Trekvogel

Now Selma is at Theater Heerlen with her new show Trekvogel. Expect a hefty bowl of fresh jokes and great songs about trifles. And expect a formidable voice and sharp observations; from one of the new cabaret artists we should therefore keep an eye on.
