Navigatie is stuk (reprise)Toon Hermans Theater Sittard - Laaglandzaal
Steven doesn't remember either
After his sold-out show in the Kleine Zaal in Heerlen, Steven Brunswijk descends on the Toon Hermans Theater with Navigatie is stuk. In this hilarious performance, Steven takes you into his confusion about identity, parenthood and the strange world we live in.
So: come laugh, come cry, but above all, don't come angry, because Steven doesn't remember either. He really doesn't. His navigation is broken.
Come laugh, come cry...
"In the Netherlands I am a Surinamese, in Suriname I am a Dutchman. So where do I belong? Maybe I should just search on Google Maps: where do I feel at home? Spoiler: no results found. And then those children of mine... I try to be a good parent, but sometimes I have no idea what I'm doing. You have these parenting books these days, but my kids don't seem to have read that book."
Steven continues: "Outside on the street, it's also a minefield. You used to be able to just say good afternoon to a stranger, now they look at you like you just asked them to pick up your towel in the sauna. And social media? There, people react as if they have just been bitten by a red ant. You say 'I like pancakes' and before you know it, you have the whole anti-gluten community after you."
