Introdans brings Swan Lake back to the stage in a sparkling, contemporary adaptation for everyone from 6 to 106 years old. Belgian choreographer Celis' Swan Lake gives a surprisingly fresh, humorous and innovative twist to the 'ballet of ballets', which is still danced worldwide 125 years after its very first performance.

Swan Lake is a grand and compelling spectacle in which the entire Introdans ensemble shines in an impressive setting. The performance is carried by Tchaikovsky's timeless, majestic and moving music. In his choreography, Celis emphasises the tense relationship between Prince Siegfried and his domineering mother, and Siegfried's desire to escape the "clutches" of the monarchy. By zooming in on the search for your own path, this Swan Lake also touches younger audiences.

Be surprised in the Swan Lake Experium in the foyer

Before and after the performance and during the interval, you can immerse yourself in the Swan Lake Experium in the foyer: an interactive total experience for young and old in which all the senses are stimulated. You can feel the costumes and take an Insta-selfie in a (digital) costume. You will hear the famous music and discover the characters up close. You step onto the dance carpet and dance your own Swan Lake duet. Or you design the set and play with the lights. During the interval, you can even learn a short choreography and, afterwards, meet some of the dancers here in a meet & greet.

The production is stimulating, theatrical, contains all kinds of technical tours de force such as an inflatable set and a fold-out aircraft staircase, and at the same time the story is very easy to follow. As a spectator, you go on a fascinating journey, where you don't get bored for a second."
