Handboek voor de Misdaad
How does someone end up in a life of crime? What drives people to break the law? And what does the world behind the headlines really look like?
In this interactive theatre lecture, Daryl takes the audience on a journey into the world behind hisbook Handboek voor de Misdaad, written about his safe-cracking grandfather who, together with his gang, later laid the foundations for the ‘narco-state’ that the Netherlands has now become. Drawing on true stories, criminological insights and first-hand experience, he shows how the underworld operates and which psychological and social factors play a role. This is not sensationalism or the glorification of crime, but an open and honest look at the mechanisms behind criminality. With time set aside for questions from the audience, this is an accessible and captivating theatre lecture for anyone interested in the person behind the crime.
