The golden years of pop music
The years '64-'74 are considered the golden years of pop music. The best British bands laid the foundation for today's pop music during that period. Think of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, The Who, The Kinks, The Small Faces, The Animals and Cream. But also David Bowie, T-Rex, Pink Floyd, Badfinger, The Faces, Fleetwood Mac and Status Quo; they took over at the beginning of the 1970s. All these bands and artists wrote innovative hits that have become today's evergreens.
