The Mediterraneo Band brings to life the rich musical traditions around the Mediterranean in From Istanbul to Marrakech. The Mediterraneo Band consists of musicians from Syria, Turkey, Greece, Germany and the Netherlands. Together with guests including Salah Eddine Mesbah, they celebrate the diversity of Makam music, which fuses Andalusian elegance with Ottoman grandeur, the soulful charm of Rebetiko and the timeless beauty of Arabic compositions .

From Istanbul to Marrakech

With innovative arrangements, the Mediterraneo Band interweaves traditional styles with Western instruments. This combination creates a fresh, authentic sound that transcends borders. So too on this journey full of history, emotion and musical refinement. Which takes you from Andalusian music with roots in Al-Andalus, sophisticated and spiritual with Salah Eddine Mesbah, to Ottoman classical music; centuries of Turkish art in majestic sounds, with Burak Savaş. And from Rebetiko, the folk soul from the streets of Athens and Istanbul with Pelagia Tsiachri Renta to poetic melodies by legendary Arab composers.
