VILT (2+)
Plan-d | Andreas DenkToon Hermans Theater Sittard - Laaglandzaal
A performance about wool, movement and what happens when you dance together... on wool.
What happens when you dance on wool? When you run, roll, push and turn - and under your feet something new slowly emerges? In VILT, loose tufts of wool transform into a felt landscape. Not by itself, but because we move, feel, connect together.
A softly imaginative experience
This performance for children aged 2 and up - and their parents or carers - starts with something simple: a (fake) sheep is sheared. The wool falls to the ground and then the play begins. There is spinning, dyeing, knitting. The dancers build sculptures, mountains and tunnels out of wool. They move to live music, with each other and with the children. You may watch. You are allowed to participate, you are allowed to be there.
Slowly, the floor changes. Wool becomes felt. The movement makes the material. And under that big felt blanket, at the end, everyone is together for a moment. A gentle, physical experience that focuses on the body, rhythm and imagination. For those who are curious. For those who want to watch silently. Or want to roll hard.
