A new musical with all the hits of Paul de Leeuw
After the great success of De Hospita and Malle Babbe, MediaLane Theatre presents a new Dutch musical: Vlieg Met Me Mee. A warm and recognisable story about three generations of women, framed by the hits of Paul de Leeuw. Vlieg Met Me Mee is a cheerful musical full of humour, music and recognition.
In Vlieg Met Me Mee, three generations of women unexpectedly end up under the same roof again. When, due to circumstances, daughter Sanne (Brigitte Heitzer) moves in with her mother Dorien (Simone Kleinsma) and granddaughter Bibi (Lisa Schol) also ends up under the same roof, tensions soon mount. Old irritations and unspoken feelings soon turn the house into a chaotic but sometimes emotional pressure cooker.
Because how well do you really know your family? What do you share and what remains unspoken for years? While mother, daughter and granddaughter try to understand each other, Paul de Leeuw's songs turn out to express exactly what they themselves do not dare to express.
In a story with humour, sharp dialogues by Lex Passchier, the writer of Oogappels, and direction by Joep Onderdelinden(Foxtrot and De Hospita), old wounds are exposed and space is made for the future. A happy and moving musical about letting go and the courage to start again. Vlieg Met Me Mee can be seen from December 2026 over 40 theatres throughout the Netherlands.
