The physical and musical toddler performance WAUW! shows the world through the eyes of preschoolers. After all, they think everything is wow! Like their own reflection in a shop window. Or someone falling and getting up again. And where adults see a fallen plant pot as a dirty job, young children are more interested in the earthworms that emerge.
The positive, open outlook of a toddler or preschooler
The world of adults is often black and white while children see much more colour. WAUW! shows that things that seem everyday or are perceived as obstacles are often much more interesting, exciting and beautiful than we initially think. Because, the WOW factor is almost always there. As long as we look closely.
Director Judith Faas thinks it is important to bring something positive in these exciting times: "Nowadays, a performance like WAUW! is even more necessary than ever. Because sometimes it can be difficult to see the beautiful things in life and to look at everything in colour instead of black and white, we can really use the open gaze of a toddler or preschooler."
