ZLOTY tells an intimate story about a clown and a musician for adults
and children aged 6 and over. A crazy and human story about freedom and the passage of time.
The clown and the musician were part of travelling circus troupe at the beginning of the last century. Until a violent storm blew the roof off their tent and the troupe ceased to exist. Together they travelled on in their old fire engine. Until it, too, broke down. And this is where ZLOTY begins.
While trying to get the truck running again, they inadvertently reveal their story, who they are and how they got where they are today. A clown who reveals what lies behind the mask. And a musician who supports and amplifies the events emotionally. In the meantime, they try by all means to get the truck running again so they can move on. Will they succeed?
Small and intimate
ZLOTY is a small, physical and performance on the festival square, bringing together the arts of 'clowning', gestural theatre and live music. A performance that connects failure, loneliness and nostalgia with naivety and daring.
