Synopsis
Loud applause rings out from the auditorium; the children are ready on stage. The school musical can begin! But not for everyone… one of the children, Andrea, has such severe stage fright that she wraps herself in a cape to hide. It turns out to be no ordinary cape, but a gateway to a floating castle, where she is welcomed by a bird, a cat and a robot. With these new friends, Andrea is having such a lovely time in this fantasy world that she actually doesn’t want to come back. Whilst the audience waits, Andrea must choose between safety and courage. With a little help, she learns that you have to spread your wings if you want to fly.
The makers of this beautiful, colourful family film – which is reminiscent of *Inside Out* – are familiar faces at Cinekid and have already won awards in previous years. This story, which many children will relate to, shows that wonderful things await you outside your comfort zone. Alongside the short film *The Big Dream*, two other, complementary short films will be screened.
Cinekid On Tour in Heerlen!
This autumn half-term, Cinekid is coming to Heerlen! During Cinekid On Tour, from Sunday 18 October to Sunday 25 October, you can enjoy the latest and best children’s films at SCHUNCK and at Filmhuis de Spiegel in Theater Heerlen. There’s a programme for children aged 4 to 12. As well as the film screenings, there are various activities at SCHUNCK based on the films.
