Would you like to go to the theatre more often? Or be surprised? With the PLT KomPas you can discover the most surprising and inspiring performances in Heerlen, Kerkrade and Sittard for a whole season.
For just €170, you can visit over 60 unique performances: from young talent and innovative makers to international gems. The KomPas is for theatre lovers who dare to look off the beaten track.

How does the KomPas work
- The KomPas is valid from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.
- You book your KomPas performances per period.
- From 26 May → for September and October
- From 1 October → for November and December
- From 1 December → for January, February and March
- From 1 March → for April, May and June
- You choose your favourites and receive free tickets for around 60 performances in all genres.
- This is how to order tickets with your KomPas:
- First order your KomPas and pay for it;
- While ordering your tickets, in the step 'What rates do you want per ticket?', choose the KomPas rate for the performance(s) you want to attend.
- Boarding later? You can! You will then pay €17.50 for each month remaining until the end of the season.
Even cheaper for students and pupils
For students and pupils, the KomPas is available for €70 per season (on presentation of a school pass). Classes or groups can apply for a special season ticket via Education.
Can't make it?
With your KomPas you can order your tickets for free. Can't make it? Then cancel your tickets in time. You can do this easily via your PLT account or via Tickets & Service.
This will free up your spot for someone else. How nice.
Why does KomPas work with fixed booking moments?
We notice that some performances are booked well in advance, but that not everyone comes. This leaves empty seats - often in nice places where other visitors would have liked to sit. It also creates holes in the auditorium, while a full auditorium adds to the experience for both audience and artists.
That is why you book your KomPas performances by period. This way, you book more specifically and you actually use your tickets. Can't make it? Then cancel in time. Together, we can make room for other theatre lovers.
These are the times when you can book:
- Start presale → for September and October
- From 1 October → for November and December
- From 1 December → for January, February and March
- From 1 March → for April, May and June

Conditions
- The KomPas is personal and entitles you to one free ticket per performance. Additional tickets for the same performance are not free.
- The discount applies only to performances within the KomPas programme.
- Op=op: do not wait too long, as both the KomPas and the available free tickets are limited
